Calculating YABATECH aggregate score is very simple, as the Polytechnic uses a formula similar to that of most Polytechnics. Like some Federal Polytechnics, Yaba College of Technology- YABATECH uses a system, where your Jamb score is simply divided by 8.

It is no news that YABATECH now writes Post UTME exams which is graded 30%. The Post Utme Exam consists of USE OF ENGLISH, MATHEMATICS and GENERAL PAPER. The exam is of 40 questions which is written in 30 mins after which the next fate of the candidates are decided.

After the POST UTME exam, all candidates are to check their aggregate score to know their total point in which will determine if they will be admitted or not. All candidates are expected to score 12 and above in the post utme, but in case the candidates scores lesser he/she should lose hope. Wait for the POST UTME AGGREGATE SCORE and if he/she gets 50% and above he can do a change of course to any course that meets up his/her requirement.

Meanwhile, Candidates can check their aggregate score before YABATECH releases the score online through the following steps;

1) Your JAMB aggregate is calculated simply by dividing your score by 8. That is your score/8

2) Your waec grading points are below:
A1=3.0
B2=2.5
B3=2.0
C4=1.5
C5=1.0

3) YABATECH post-utme takes 30% of the aggregate score.

4) Number of sittings grading (Bonus)
The last 5% in the aggregate is awarded to students based on their number of Olevel sittings. A candidate with only one sitting in WAEC/NECO/NABATECH gets a full 5%. On the other hand. a candidate with two sittings takes 2.5%.
