What is ODFeL?

Open, Distance, and Flexible E-LEARNING is blended learning (combination of online and Physical learning) National Diploma program being run by Yaba College of Technology. It's a 2 years National program accredited and approved by National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

SCHOOL FEE AMOUNT

Payment for ODFEL programs is as follows:

i. Application forms N10,000.00 (Excluding SSCE verification charges and other charges) Those that were given automatic admission (candidates that got email/SMS) are excluded from paying this fee

ii. Acceptance fee  N25,000.00 (excluding bank charges)

iii. Statutory fee N28,000.00 (This payment includes other administrative fees)

iv. Course fee  N1,800.00 per unit (students are expected to register for a minimum of 8 units per semester.

IS IT JUST ONLINE OR BOTH ONLINE AND PHYSICAL?

ANSWER

The program is blended (i.e., both online and face-to-face lectures)

i. 10 weeks of online lectures

ii. 2 weeks of face-to-face lectures (include practical classes for courses that have practical lessons)

iii. 1 week of revision classes and

iv. 2 weeks for semester examination

AFTER THE PROGRAM IS IT THE SAME CERTIFICATE AS THE FULL TIME?

ANSWER

i. Students of the program will have the same quality of training

ii. Students of the program will be tutored on the same number of courses.

iii. All the programs are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE)

iv. The certificate that will be issued is the same as Full time 

IS THE EXAM GOING TO BE IN THE SCHOOL OR ONLINE? 

ANSWER

The examination is face-to-face on the college premises.

THE PROGRAMME ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The program's Academic Calendar is 15 weeks per semester. I.e 2 years for the award of National Diploma. 

ARE WE GOING FOR NYSC?

ANSWER

You can apply for HND full-time after your ND program with ODFeL.

IS THERE HND PROGRAMME FOR ODFEL?

ODFeL is regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The regulatory body has not approved to start the HND program in ODFeL.

DO ODFeL STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN MATRICULATION?

ANSWER

As a fully accredited program by National Board for Technical Education, students of ODFeL participate fully in the yearly matriculation for newly admitted students of Yaba College of Technology.

IS THERE CONVOCATION CEREMONY FOR ODFeL STUDENTS?

ANSWER

Yes. All students who graduate from the program after meeting all required courses required for graduation and satisfying other prerequisites are qualified for convocation.

ARE ODFeL STUDENTS PERMITTED TO MAKE USE OF THE COLLEGE FACILITIES?

ANSWER

All admitted students of this program after full registration and making all statutory payments, are entitled to the full use of the college facilities including medicals, sports, and library.

HOW EASY CAN GRADUATES OF ODFeL get THEIR ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT AFTER GRADUATION?

ANSWER

This program is the same as every other program being run by Yaba College of Technology. The same process, time, and fees required to process other programs' transcripts are also applicable here.
